The FEM (European Federation of Material Handling) Product Groups “Intralogistic Systems” and “Racking & Shelving” have therefore decided to initiate a joined activity to give guidance to end-users, system designers / planners, contractors and sub-contractors. This has resulted in the Industry Code of Practice FEM 9.841 / 10.2.10 - Storage systems with rail dependent storage and retrieval equipment – Interfaces, in addition to EN 15629. It serves as a reference and orientation regarding the points raised.
This Code of Practice specifies also the position, obligations and responsibilities of the parties involved.
