Checklist for cooperation and contract design

Simultaneous engineering is the parallel development, design and production of interdependent products, whereby the developments influence each other. Applications include the parallel development of a production plant and the product to be manufactured on it, as well as the simultaneous development of a product and its supplier parts. A working group of the VDMA Legal Department has drawn up this two-part checklist on simultaneous engineering.

Part 1 deals primarily with the structural and organizational issues
Part 2 deals with and explains the contractual implementation.
